Will “Justice League of America” get off the ground?
Justice League of America, the much-awaited movie of all superheroes joining forces will be directed by George Miller, and plans are for production to begin in early 2008.
The JLA cast will reportedly include Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Aquaman, but so far there has been no definitely actor being cast. Tom Welling has been rumored to play Superman. Jessica Biel turns down the Wonder Woman role. Christian Bale is NOT playing Batman.
And, according to IGN.com -
There’s still a very distinct possibility, however, that JLA could fall apart in the next few months. As Variety points out, “The project is so complicated — and casting dependent — that even those deeply involved in the project are holding their breath until production begins.”
I hope this project goes to screen. This is something all superhero fans are waiting for. Though it would be cool to see old-time faces playing our favorite superheroes, and I really would love to see Tom Welling suit up… well, there are a lot of other great actors in Hollywood who might as well take up the casting spots.
