What being “18″ really means to Hayden Panettiere

August 22, 2007 by Grace

I knew this girl is level-headed.

Contrary to what she alluded to in David Letterman show the day before her birthday, Hayden Panettiere did the BEST THING that any 18-year old adult should do.

She registered. To vote. On her birthday, no less.

Hayden went to aDeclare Yourself precinct on August 21, 2007 and took part in the campaign.

She even had help from an elderly volunteer and proudly displayed her new ring and necklace!

DeclareYourself.com is a nonpartisan nationwide campaign to empower every 18-year-old in America to register and vote in the 2008 elections. She is actually one of the celebrity spokesperson of the campaign.

Congratulations, Hayden and may other teens (and adults) follow suit.
