Wanted opens next weekend at the box office and the cast are doing their rounds of interviews. Russian director Timur Bekmambetov talked exclusively with Superhero Hype about the movies - Night Watch and Day Watch- that brought him the attention of Universal executives for directing Wanted.
Although Wanted is a comic book adaptation of the same name, Bekmambetov took the liberty of changing some of the mythology but remained true to the tone of the original comics. “It was important for me to protect and to develop the ironic tone of the comic book and to save the unique character of Wesley was important,“ Bekmambetov tells Superhero Hype.
