Paramount released the latest Star Trek posters, this time of the villain Nero (Eric Bana) and communications officer Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana). Saldana still has semblances of herself but Bana has been transformed into the tatttoed Romullan.

Funny that Eric Bana casually thinks of his role as cameo or as he says it, he’s not carrying the weight of the show. Check out Saldana’s version of the comm officer Uhura, after the cut.

Have you all watched "Heroes" this Monday? Fantastic, wasn’t it? By far, it’s the stellar episode of the season! War is about to break loose and it’s anyone’s guess who will be left standing in the final episode.

And don’t forget "Smallville". Chloe Sullivan is about to wed and Doomsday is her special guest! As Brainiac foretells, "doom" is coming.

Unfortunately, I am fighting my own sneaky little villain these days and I’m losing the battle. The cold virus has knocked me off my feet and I’m hacking, snorting, sneezing and feeling awful everywhere. But I will yet win the war! HA!

So pardon the infrequent posting. Just give me a few days to get well, and I’ll be back with a great review of both "Heroes" and "Smallville" AND exclusive interviews of the shows’ cast. Meanwhile, check out the latest additions to the episode guide for "Heroes" and "Smallville".

I love it when "Heroes" gives us fodder for news. The video is after the cut, so you don’t get too spoiled. Four sneak peeks –

Claire is trying to protect Peter, who has lost his powers. She is trying to become tougher, to fight back but can she handle it? The villains barge into the room and Claire is ready for war, and they’re coming for her.

We heard this speech before of Nathan Petrelli having "a destiny to lead a nation". I guess everyone in the previous generation believe he’s bound to be president someday. Can Arthur Petrelli convince Nathan, or is he after his son’s powers too?

The eclipse brought on the "power" surge of abilities for our heroes, but it won’t be enough. Mohinder needs a catalyst to make the formula stable and working, but it can only survive in a person.

Peter and Claire again, and he’s afraid for her now. He saw the future that she will kill him, and it’s all he can do to protect her from becoming that person four years from now.

So much for the summary, now for the video.

In this episode, "Heroes" goes right down to pulling everything together into a coherent storyline, and it starts with Hiro being brought back to time, one year from the present, to find that "fork in the road, where heroes turn one way and villains turn the other."

History lesson #1: Petrelli family

At the Petrellis’ anniversary, Daniel Linderman (we finally know his name!) is concerned that Nathan will find out that Petrelli is behind all his shady enterprise for the past quarter century,Calling the Petrelli couple as "King and Queen" was clearly no small talk. Linderman is Petrelli’s dog and follower, and and it brings to mind how these war buddies started in the Vietnam war.

Linderman’s intention to kill Nathan got foiled, and Angela begins to suspect her husband’s involvement. So we see one more of Arthur’s ability – to force his thougths into her mind, damage her brain and erase her memories. In secret, Linderman convinces Angela to save her son, and he heals her from the scars that Arthur’s abilities made in her brain. Angela does know about her husband’s plans to change the world, but she wakes up from stupor with a plot to kill Arthur. Unfortunately, the toxin she used only paralyzed Arthur’s body, but his mind is as sharp and wicked as ever. And so the marital spat begins, with consequences for the whole wide world.

History Lesson #2: Sylar and Elle

So it was H.R.G. who turned Gabriel Gray into Sylar! With reluctant help from Elle, who has fallen for the shy Gabriel, H.R.G. baited Sylar with his second kill. H.R.G felt that Gabriel had killer instincts, but it must be a bitter taste to his mouth now that Sylar has wrecked havoc, when HRG could have stopped him in the beginning.

History Lesson #3: Meredith and Flint

Surprise, surprise! Meredith Gordon is Flint’s sister and the smarter of the two. The Company offered Meredith a chance at being agent, which she passed with flying colors. We also learn that she really hates the Company for stealing her baby Claire years ago.

History Lesson #4: The past catches up with Hiro

Flash forward to the present at the African’s hutch. Hiro’s travels to the past was not without Arthur’s knowledge. He kills the African and takes away Hiro’s powers.

What now? This episode attempted to tie the stories together, with considerable success. However, some more questions still remain unanswered about this back story and Season 1, where we witnessed Angela and Linderman working to destroy New York. So Angela didn’t want Arthur to kill Nathan, and yet she was willing to use her son to achieve their goal of world domination. That’s messed up.

I’m surprised it takes this many re-takes to perfect one scene, that of Arthur Petrelli toasting his sons and family, while the two brothers bet on their dad acknowledging Peter’s nursing career. There is one take of Daniel Linderman asking Nathan about the investigations.
