Smallville episode 8.13 "Power"

Lana Lang makes her comeback in the episode "Bride" and she stays in Smallville for a little while. We’ll get to know what has kept her busy and why she had to leave Clark.

In the 13th episode of the season "Power", we’ll find Lana’s involvement with Luthorcorp has not stopped. And a Luthorcorp experiment is what keeps her alive! According to Kryptonite, a Dr. Grohl is involved in these experiments, which may have ties to Project Ares from previous season.

They’re finally here! DOOMSDAY and LANA LANG! Oh, and of course they crash Jimmy and Chloe’s wedding day. Our first real look at Doomsday – the creature who was made for murder, has the thing for Chloe. And watch the trailer closely, because Clark makes his own move as well.

Did you see the kiss between Lois and Clark?! Gotta watch this episode if only for this. And I can’t wait to see Kristin Kreuk again.

Otherwise… it’s a happy Smallville day for spoiler-lovers like me!

These are spoilers from the remaining unaired episodes, but I won’t tell where they appear so there’s still that element of surprise… unless you can guess it.

• As Chloe’s memory gets erased, a flashback happens to the first time a young Chloe meets a young Clark… and a kiss happens!
• Davis tells Chloe she’s marrying the wrong person.
• A special guest appears at Chloe and Jimmy’s wedding day – Lana Lang returns! We’ll find out where Chun Li Miss Lana has been all these months and why she left Clark.
• Legionnaires from the future appear!!! Garth, Imra, and Rokk, who have powers of electricity, telepathy, and magnetism, respectively.
• A KISS happens between two mainstay characters and it’s not involving Lois, Jimmy or Davis.

Clark Kent looks for trouble. This season, Clark Kent is no longer waiting for trouble to knock at his doorstep. Nooo. Clark Kent gets a job at the Daily Planet and goes where the action and trouble are. Clark will be “stepping up in a big way to his destiny.”

Clark Kent gets into the “S”. (spoiler ahead) Blame it on the snoop Jimmy who sees something and connects it to Clark, and the superhero “will have to dig himself out of it”. Mums the word about a full costume, but the Superman brand is definitely in development.

Lana comes back to mess things up. Daily Planet equals “Lois and Clark” and Clark is almost ready to move on, but Lana Lang still owns Smallville’s heart. So what happens when Kristin Kreuk comes back for five episodes?

Things become a lot more complicated for Clark, especially when Lana catches Lois and Clark making out in a closet? .. uhmm.. “It won’t be that drastic, but you’re not that far off,” admits Swimmer.

The Legion of Superheroes is recruiting. The Legion of Superheroes will get new members, from the future! “Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad—although we might not use those names—on a mission from Superman in the future, who sends them back to help make things right.”

Meet old friends and new enemies.

• Michael Rosenbaum is NOT coming back. But expect the female version of Lex Luthor Tess (Cassidy Freeman) to continue the havoc.
• Laura Vandervoort IS coming back for episode 8 or 9, to wrap up her story.

• Instead of Smallville, the Choice TV show for Action Adventure went to Heroes.
• Instead of Kristin Kreuk, the Choice TV Actress for Action/Adventure was Hayden Panettiere of “Heroes”.
• Instead of Michael Rosenbaum, Choice TV Villain went to Ed Westwick of “Gossip Girls”.

Now what’s weird was there was no winner announced for Choice TV Actor for Action/Adventure in which Tom Welling was nominated.

This doesn’t bode very well for Smallville, which is on its last season this year.

The Lana Lang of television admitted that Smallville is the longest relationship she has had in the past 7 years. “And it has now pretty much ended.” As a way to seal the freedom, Kristin Kreuk cut off ALL her hair!

I (Kristin) just went in there on my own and Sarah (she is the key hairstylist on Smallville, and is freakin rad) tied it in a ponytail and sawed the sucker off…

The cut looks great on Kristin, but I’m surprised to find her very thin and haggard-looking in this photo. She looked different at the Comic Con last week. Maybe it’s the stress of filming a new movie.

She landed the title role for the movie adaptation of the video game “Street Fighter 4: The Legend of Chun-Li“. The film is still in productions and very few pictures have appeared… up until now…

The StreetFightermovie.net blog is up and running with pictures of the cast, some behind-the-scenes and insider look at the movie. Movieweb also has set photos of Kristin Kreuk and the other cast. And then of course, there are the YouTube images –

Just to clarify, Kristin will still appear in Smallville, in a few episodes as a guest star. She just won’t become a series regular anymore.

The Teen Choice Awards 2008!

“Heroes” and “Smallville” are vying for Choice TV Show: Action Adventure. Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and Tom Welling (Smallville) are among a few going for the Choice TV Actor: Action Adventure. In the female category, Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Ali Larter (Heroes), and Kristen Kruek (Smallville) have nods for Choice TV Actress. Best Villain for television include Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) and Zachary Quinto (Heroes). Hayden Panettiere is also nominated for Choice Female Hottie and Red Carpet Fashion Icon Female

In the movies category, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull“, “Iron Man” and “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” vie for the top award for action adventure.  Unfortunately, the other summer flicks and possibly blockbusters “The Incredible Hulk” and “The Dark Knight” didn’t get included since the movies are too late for the list.

The event is hosted by teen sensation Miley Cyrus at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City , CA and will air on Monday, Aug. 4 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Starting today, fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day for their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2008 nominees at www.TeenChoiceAwards.com. “Gossip Girl” leads the pack with 14 nominations. Host Miley Cyrus scored 4 nominations, Chris Brown has 9, and Justin Timberlake, the reigning TEEN CHOICE champ, has 3 nominations.
