Smallville news: Michael Rosenbaum has one condition for return
Have you seen that Smallville “Legion” trailer with a shot of Lex Luthor’s bald head?
Uhm… That was not Michael Rosenbaum.
Sorry to disappoint all the fans who might have thought Michael was playing cameos on Smallville, but that was just a body double, so says the man himself.
In an interview with an old friend from The Windy City Times, Michael Rosenbaum remarked that he feels it unfair to the fans that they’re not seeing the real thing.
“People think they have seen me on the show since then (when he left) but I found out they have been using body doubles to pretend that it’s me. I don’t know how fair that is to the fans.”
The big question on my mind, as on others too, is - is Michael ever going to come back to Smallville… (please, even for just an episode)?
Michael’s answer was both sad and funny.
WCT: So you don’t think you will ever come back?
Michael: No. I told the producers that I would only come back for the last episode or two if they let me wear a bald cap. I just grew my hair out.

Heroes: Brea Grant - Daphne is not a true villain
October 13, 2008 by Grace
When is a villain truly vile? It depends on the motive, I say. Brea Grant talked to TV Guide and she explains what really drives “Heroes” character Daphne Millbrook to be an anti-hero.
If you’re wondering as I am how a villain like her turns out to be a mom in the future, Brea told TV Guide that really Daphne is “a villain with a purpose”, but she’s not a killer. “Daphne is a girl who has a different set of rules than we have. She feels like she has to do what she has to do to get the life she wants.”
Brea also reveals there her high school track medal plays a bigger part “that people realize”. Daphne is so emotionally invested in, and getting paid for, what she’s doing that her motivations are complicated.
Brea had little idea that she was going to be deeply involved in the story of “Heroes” volume 3. She did know Matt Parkman was going to be her “soul mate”. After last week’s glimpse into the future Mrs. Parkman, Brea reveals that they are going to meet in the near future, although Parkman will be a little thrown with the Speedster’s ways.
“We definitely seem like opposites at this point in time. Daphne is very playful, but she has to make some hard decisions about where her life is going, so she may calm down a bit. She sees all these things happen involving the formula and she has to make decisions about who she ends up with – which may or may not be the future that you saw.”
Get the complete interview here, which reveals a little about the turtle, and the stunt Daphne pulled on Ando.
“Heroes” continues tonight with episode 3.05 “Angels and Monsters” and we’ll get a chance to see who Daphne works for and who else is recruiting her. Or do you already know?

Smallville: Allison Mack on Chloe’s dark future
October 8, 2008 by Grace
Smallville character Chloe Sullivan has always been known as the trusted, level-headed friend, one who is not afraid to make the right decisions as she follows up on her stories and leads. Allison Mack is the actress who has brought this character to life since the inception of the series and she talks to TV Guide about the changes that are happening in Chloe’s persona and life.
Her own woman
The chemistry between Allison Mack and Tom Welling has always been evident to fans, and hopefuls still want their Smallville characters to become more than friends. Asked how Allison and Tom got that chemistry to work, the actress admitted they won’t work at it at all. “There’s an affection for each other – I adore him, and I think there’s a similar fondness for me back – and that comes from “growing up” together.” The two have been on the show the longest, and the fondness stays strong from season to season. “That isn’t something we have to rekindle. It will always exist between us.”
However, their characters are a different story this season. Chloe doesn’t work at the Daily Planet anymore, and she devotes her time to getting the Isis Foundation thriving, as well as
sidelining with Justin Hartley’s Green Arrow. Chloe now wants a separate, independent life away from Clark Kent. Allison says Chloe is tired of just running around and doing whatever she thinks Clark needs. “Well, she’s come to have superpowers, she’s been killed about four times [Laughs], she’s getting married, she’s been infected by Brainiac. I think she has come into her own in a way that she never has before… She’s grown into her own woman.”

Smallville: Erica Durance on Super-Lois
September 30, 2008 by Grace
A very engaging and fun Erica Durance talked to CW Source about the rest of “Smallville” season 8. Several spoilers are spilled about Erica’s character Lois Lane. SuperLois anyone?
Lois Lane becomes Clark’s mentor, at least that’s what she thinks she’s doing. But like the pushy reporter that she is, Lois goes undercover and takes on a bad guy in her party dress! And then she becomes super-Lois as an “alien’s wife”. We might see this in episode 8.08 “Bloodline”, where Kara is also expected to appear.

Heroes episode 3.04 “I am become Death“
Airdate: October 6, 2008
The present and future collide in episode 304, as revealed by an IGN interview of Milo Ventimiglia.
Here’s what we now know:
- It’s now five to seven years in the future.
- Future Sylar is no longer the boogieman, and he’s friends with future Peter! (Ha, I didn’t see that coming)
- More people have flying abilities. (Does this mean Mohinder’s tests were a success?)
- Patriarch Arthur Petrelli is a megalomania. He wants to be the most powerful (and guess who of his “sons” take after him?)
Read the IGN interview to find out how Milo Ventimiglia switches from being Present Peter to Future Peter to Peter-in-a-guy. As Milo admits, “Oh, it gets so confusing!”

Exclusive: Heroes’ Ken Lally is The German villain
September 28, 2008 by Grace
This year with “Heroes” it’s all about being bad. Villains take over the spotlight and revel in the uproar they are causing. Noah Bennet made a cool intro to the Level 5 villains, and we saw them on a destructive spree at the end of episode 3.02 last week. But we still don’t know much about this new gang of anti-heroes. So I set my scopes on the villains and got one of them to ‘fess up. Ken Lally aka The German.
As The German.
Last episode, we saw this 6-foot escapee beat someone like it was a doll. Then he flicked his hands and the car doors opened. Could you tell me a little bit more about the German?
Ken Lally: Cool. I don’t know if it was based on me or they cast me because I was like him, but my character was developed in the graphic novel. The German was a bank robber, a super villain who could manipulate metal. Company people went to go and tracked him down, and ultimately they caught him and stuck in Level Five.
I want to ask you what his background is, what type of person he is.
Ken: Actually, it’s good to have ambiguity on the show because the writers can do anything they want. Some of the characters even have names in the script that are like HRG and the Haitian. Some have ambiguous backgrounds and no names so the writers can take them in any direction they want as per fans interest. That’s pretty cool.
I read a “Company dossier” on your MySpace page that the German has highly sociopath instincts. Were you able to explore that part of the character yet?
Ken: Oh yeah! It’s a great part of the character because obviously you can manipulate metal. People are comparing me to Magneto, but the thing that I think separates me from Magneto is that I love just kicking ass. (Laughter) I mean I can do these powers and I have this ability, but I’m kind of an ultra-violent guy and really enjoy an old fashion beat down as you saw on the first season premier. I mean while Flint, played by Blake Shield, was using his power to express himself as it were. (Laughter) I wasn’t using my power to express myself. I was just throwing somebody a good beating because I’m brutal, sociopathic and also violent.
And on Monday we are going to rob a bank, as I was told online.
Smallville: Erica Durance interview
September 26, 2008 by Grace
Now that we’ve seen this promo photo of Lois and Clark in a couple pose, fans are asking if the inevitable love story unfolds this season.
E! Online interviewed Erica Durance and she was ready to spill some Smallville secrets!
Spoiler for the photo? An upcoming episode has Lois and Clark playing a couple as part of an investigation. Of course, Lois plays it to the hilt and Clark is ever-awkward. Play-acting or not, CLois fans will be swooning!
Will there be a love story? Erica reveals the writers are taking it slowly and carefully. After all, it is THE love story of Superman. As for Lois Lane, Erica wants to make sure her character “earns the right to be loved by Superman.” AWWW.
What does Lois think of the Good Samaritan (a term Metropolis calls the new crime fighter)? The line Lois told Clark - “I’m going to find out who this hero is and that’s going to be my mission in life.” Are we going to expect that the ace reporter Lois Lane will get herself in trouble to see if she can nail him down?
About Chloe’s new love? Never the most tactful, Lois Lane will stick both feet in her mouth at the most inopportune time.
Read the full interview at E! Online. There is also a scoop about Lex Luthor and a season 9(?).
