Smallville 8.19 “Stiletto” sneak peek

Smallville episode 8.19 "Stiletto"
Airdate: April 23 2009
Lois Lane in black tight leather should be sexy, instead she manages to look awkward and funny. Oh well. In this sneak peek for Smallville’s Sweeps comeback, Lois Lane is now costumed as Stiletto, the newest superhero to save Metropolis.
It looks like Lois Lane is supposed to meet the ‘red-blue-blur’, one superhero to another. Instead she finds Clark in the same place, and he’s pretty ticked off that she’s pretending to be a super hero! But Lois is annoyed with Clark too, since it looks like he stood her up on a supposed date.
Smallville Season 8: 2009 Cast Photoshoot
So I posted the photo of Tom Welling yesterday as Clark Kent of Smallville, and he was so delicious. Well, today I find out that was just (one of the) icing on the cake.
Here is the cake. Enjoy.
The Smallville cast Season 8, for 2009:
The Smallville cast, season 8. (l-r) Erica Durance (Lois Lane), Sam Witwer (Davis Bloome), Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen), Allison Mack (Chloe Sullivan), Tom Welling (Clark Kent), Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer) and Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen). Image: © 2008 The CW Network, LLC. All Rights Reserved
This is the season when Clark Kent began to embrace his destiny as a hero to mankind. He begins working closely with Lois Lane as Daily Planet reporters. Chloe Sullivan, on the other hand, let go of her reporter duties and focused on the Isis Foundation to help other meteor-infected with their abilities. Her romance and marriage to photographer Jimmy Olsen was jeopardized when paramedic Davis Bloome took an interest in Chloe. Unbeknownst to everyone and a shock to himself, Bloome is not human but the the ultimate destroyer Doomsday. With Lex Luthor missing from the North Pole implosion, a new CEO of Luthorcorp emerges – Tess Mercer, who is as ruthless and calculating as the man she adores. Meanwhile, Oliver Queen had a life crisis, and only when Clark took the mantle did he regain his identity as Green Arrow.
Smallville season 8 returned on Thursday at CW with the visit of the Legion of Superheroes, who helped Clark defeat Brainiac’s quest to drain the entire world of its knowledge. The season continues as Clark Kent becomes the hero he is meant to be.

Smallville could return for a 9th season!
January 14, 2009 by Grace
This is supposed to be Smallville’s last season. Clark Kent is now in control of his destiny and changing into a Superman. His career at the Daily Planet is getting off the ground, and the Lois Lane love story is falling into place. Clark still has the barn, but with its wreckage last year, he might be forced to move to Metropolis.
What better way to end the series than to have everything in place for a segue into Superman.
And so, the ratings have gone up as fans closely follow how the young Clark Kent morph into the Man of Tomorrow. Well, now, the CW bosses are thrilled that they want one more season out of Smallville.
And it all depends on Tom Welling. Will he commit to one more year wearing red and blue plaids?
Smallville insiders hint that just might be the case. It seems Welling is nearing a deal with CW, with only a few minor details before the dots are signed.
According to a well-placed Smallville insider, Welling is nearing a deal to return for a ninth season. I’m told they’re just ironing out some minor deal points, such as should the Brinks Truck pull into the actor’s driveway, or just unload on the street. - EW.com

Smallville flies in 2009

Smallville episode 8.11 “Legion” - trailer
Airdate: January 15, 2009
Smallville has never been as good as it is now. In its final season, the series has up the ante with formidable enemies who have compelling past, even with and especially in the absence of Lex Luthor. There is Doomsday, who lived in the human form as Davis Bloome. We can’t help but feel for him as the do-gooder paramedic struggles to contain the darkness that tries to control his being. Then there is Tess Mercer, whose loyalty to Lex Luthor is undeniable but full of mystery. Finally, Clark Kent’s most loyal friend is about to betray him. Well, not if she can help it, but Brainiac has taken over Chloe Sullivan.
But also this season, we saw Clark Kent take control of his destiny as a hero to mankind. He’s (almost) past Lana Lang and becoming comfortable friends with Lois Lane, who is slowly falling in love with CK. As Green Arrow questions his own motives for heroism, Clark takes up the mantle to lead. The saga of Kara Kent is over, but who knows maybe there will be a Supergirl spin-off.
The second half of the season will be worth watching as Smallville wraps up its run. How will this current season end? Will there be a season 9? As early as January 15, we might learn the fate of Chloe Sullivan (and later in the season, Lana Lang), and how they “disappear” from the greater Superman mythology.
The trailer of episode 8.11 “Legion”, the first episode of 2009, reveals several interesting sneaks into Clark Kent’s future role as Superman. Lana may be saying her goodbyes to Clark but she’ll take care of unfinished business. And if you think Lex Luthor is a thing of the past, think again. Before Doomsday gets to kill Superman in their future epic battle, the stage has to be set first. We will meet the future band of superheroes that Clark Kent inspired when he becomes Superman. Some of them will even be coming back to the present to lend Clark a little hand. One of them will even allude to Clark Kent’s future name.
And then there’s that blue blur in the sky…
The next episode swoops back on January 15, 2009. Will you be one of those waiting for Smallville’s return?

It’s the same trailer as previously shown, but with an extra heaping that fans of Lois and Clark would be shrieking with glee about!
Uhm, unfortunately, Clark Kent’s old love also shows up for the party. What’s a guy to do?
Smallville 8.12 "Bulletproof" spoiler- Clark as a cop
Smallville episode 8.12 "Bulletproof"
Airdate: January 2009
Clark Kent goes undercover as a police officer when John Jones (aka Martian-Manhunter-turned-human) was shot. Police inspector Dan Turpin gets suspicious of Clark’s disguise when he finds him talking to the Green Arrow. A Dr. Emil Hamilton helps Clark and Oliver with John Jones’ unique physiology.
According to Kryptonsite, several characters appear in this episode as reference to either comics or Smallville-lore. The site also cautions that the presence/characters of Turpin or Hamilton may be changed as "cop sentiment over costumed heroes and vigilantes is rather low". I didn’ t know this, but it does make sense that police won’t like vigilantes. If you think about it, superheroes do take matters of law and order in their own hands.

Smallville 8.08 "Bloodline" sneak peek - Kara in the Phantom Zone
Smallville episode 8.08 “Bloodline“
Airdate: November 6, 2008
Clark Kent and Lois Lane accidentally traveled to the Phantom Zone and found Kara in the forbidden land. Kara has a portal but she refused to leave the Zone, because “she didn’t want to make the same mistakes that Clark did”.
Interesting of Kara to say that. The last time Clark Kent escaped the Zone, several other wraiths escaped with him back to earth and they wreaked havoc for one whole season! Bizarro was the worst of those Kryptonian enemies. Maybe that’s what Kara was trying to prevent.
