Clark Kent’s first day at the Daily Planet get him to investigate a bus explosion with Lois Lane. Clark rescues Bette (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy), a young girl who is hiding a big secret. Paramedic Davis Bloome (newcomer Sam Witwer) arrives in Metropolis and is drawn to Chloe. Bette bonds with Chloe (Allison Mack) over their shared meteor abilities. Oliver Green (Justin Hartley) collapses at a charity event and learns he only has 24 hours to live. Delirious, Oliver flashes back to when he was stranded on an island after his plane went down. He recalls meeting Tess (Cassidy Freeman) for the first time on that island. Clark tries to help but Oliver’s prognosis is grim. Chloe does something that would shock Clark. Smallville resumes its season with the Legion of Superheroes as personal guests of Super-Boy Scout/future Superman aka Clark Kent! Time traveling from the future, three founding Legionnaires – Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy and Lightning Lad – will help Clark fight another time traveler, the Persuader, an outlaw recruited by the Legion who turned against the superheroes and became their worst threat.
Meantime, Brainiac (as Chloe) is so hungry for knowledge he wants to consume the whole world. He/She recruits Doomsday to the Fortress to prepare him for his destiny of defeating Superman.

Smallville episode 8.12 "Bulletproof"

“Red and blue blur” – that’s the nickname for the new Metropolis hero, and in one trailer, there’s a kid who idolized the new hero with his own version of the costume. The local folks of Smallville shouldn’t have a hard time hard guessing this mysterious hero’s identity since there is no other kid in all of Smallville who loves to wear the primary colors like Kent does.
In this episode, we still won’t see Clark with a cape, but at least we see him in blue, when he goes undercover as a police officer.

Clark Kent is too young to gain too many enemies. And yet, next week he meets yet another DC villain – the Toyman.
Chris Gauthier plays Winslow Schott, a toymaker who was fired by his employer (Queen Industries in Smallville; LexCorp in DC Comics). Although he has no special powers, he is a genius at creating and operating all kinds of mechanical devices, his toys. He is a madman and considered “armed" and dangerous” for both children and adults.
