Smallville season 8 – major new cast!

(I’m bumping this post up as CW just released an update today).
This man is the new Doomsday:
Sam Witwer has been cast to play the new villain Doomsday in Smallville season 8. Doomsday will eventually kill Superman, in a battle to death. We can all make a good guess that the Smallville writers will explore how the two become enemies.
UPDATE: Witwer will play Davis Bloome, a charismatic Metropolis paramedic who is forced to confront a darkness inside of him that might be a harbinger of doom. (CW)
Cassidy Freeman will also be joining Smallville this season as Tess, a “sexy and vengeful firecracker with whom Lex hires to run his empire in his absence.”
UPDATE: Freeman will play Tess Mercer, the new acting CEO of LuthorCorp. handpicked by Lex to succeed him before he vanished. She is said to be as cunning and ruthless as her mentor… a female Lex… (CW)

Please can anyone tell me if the death of Superman by Doomsday is on the plans of the new producers for season 8??? If it is… does our hero ever come back to life?? did he in the comic books??? Please help me I´m dieing of curiosity>>>>

Nope Doomsday will not kill Clark Kent/Superman on Smallville season 8. Thank God! In fact, Davis Bloome will not be known as Doomsday yet, at least when he first appears. Instead, the episode arc will focus on Doomsday’s origin as a trouble Davis Bloome. Hope this is good news.
Sam, Kristin will still be back next season! We’ll see her still although not as a series regular. She’ll do around 8 episodes. So, Kristin Kreuk may yet save Smallville *wink*

No!!! It can’t be the end! You mean to say that Clana lasted for seven seasons for nothing?! I don’t think anything can break Clark and Lana apart after everything they have been through.

Clana is dead! YAY! Lana was nothing more then a annoying mosquito that wouldn’t go away. Clark marries Lois, people need to accept it. I’m glad we wont have to deal with Lana all season, she got boring after season 1.
I had to check which webpage I was on to make sure it wasn’t some girl magazine webpage or something, what’s with all the little girls and teen guys wanting Lana back, get over it, I couldn’t be happier that she is gone.
The one thing that broke the show for me was Micheal(lex) leaving, his transition to evil was great and what made the show worth watching, as he watched his father fall to his death you could see lex descend to evil.
The female replacement lex is like watching a made up episode thrown in to accommodate a great absence. Plus his friendship to clark made the story more immersive.
The only good thing is the introduction of Doomsday and Clark’s decision to finally work for the daily planet.
Doomsday in the comics had a shadowy origin. He was trapped underground and bound up for thousands of years and escaped. It never quite explained quite what manner of creature he was, but he definitely did not ever originate from a human being. He was just a super powerful mega-monster.
Louis & Clark they have to end together, lana must leave the show for good, thats the story, thats superman
I don;t think lana an clark should be together, besides she’s been annoying, she changes her mind every few seconds, she is hot though, but im kinda glad she is not a regular, i do think that cloe and clark should be a couple though she is cool

Lana sucks she makes the show more like the 90210. I was tired of her for a long time. I hoped just as many of you did that he would fall in love with her and so on but in the show they almost did as you all remember but things changed and he ended up loosing his Dad. well i was done then. I hoped that they finally left the damn love thing between Clark and Lana. Anyway We should all know because of the movies and comics that Lana dies and Lois is the one to get Superman, Lana. So get over it! Lana Sucks.

Smallville is the only adaption that makes Lana Lang some sort of significant character when all she really is is Clark’s first high school girlfriend.
If you want only Lana and Clark, go watch old Superboy reruns. She’s the redhead, by the way, if you don’t recognize her.
I think the directors should stick to the true story of Superman. I love the latest seasons especially season 8. I did a lot of crying like when Lana had to leave Clark cause she abosorbed Kryptonite, and when Chloe left Smallville with Davis. I really hope Davis gets rid of the evil inside him and he and Chloe end up together.
There’s a lot more than Clana to show Smallville. It’s amazing! Addictive! No matter what, Oliver and Davis must stay. They’re so hot!
