Smallville plans for 2009

Smallville executive producer Darren Swimmer has big plans for Smallville in the coming years, IF he can convince the actors to stick around for season 9.
In the TV Guide interview (December 8 issue), Swimmer admits he plans to keep Smallville for yet another year, but there are some issues with "actor availability". He hinted that Tom Welling, 31, might be ready to move onto to more mature roles. How does Swimmer envision the coming year for Smallville?
Swimmer has some spoilers!
- Clark now accepts his responsibilities as Superman, and he will begin experimenting with the dual identity. "Bifocals? A golden lasso? New hair mousse? We’ll find out in a strong of three episodes beginning in February."
- The Legion of Superheroes will arrive on January 15, when the series returns, to help Clark fight against an atomic villain from the future called the Persuader.
- The Justice League will return towards the season ends.
And if there is there is no more season 9? Swimmer suggests a Smallville spin-off starring Phil Morris as the Martian Manhunter, who comes back on January 22.

I don’t want Smallville to end (this season has been awesome)! I read the TV Guide story and am so happy that they are at least considering another season. Hopefully my fav Tom Welling will make that a possibility.
I don’t want to see Smallville fade away, but after Lex left, it lost most of it’s appeal for me. I love Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk though!

There has to be a season 9! If they don’t Tom can’t wear the tights! Thats bad news in itself. Smallville is actually doing good this season and the writers still have a lot to write about. I’m praying for a season 9.
I want to know the season that smallville stops for now. because in my country it stop in season 7. i want to know if there is more seasons.
Don’t watch much tv, but Smallville and Supernatural isa a must.

I do not watch much tv at all but 24 on Mondays,Smallville and supernatural on Thursdays and thats about it. So I would appreciate it if you would keep them going.

Do not end it let it going and goin at lest 23 more season it is the best show I have ever seen in my life so keep it going 4 ever dont let other show make more shows then you just keep going be cause this is the best so dont stop
Don’t have this Jimmy Olsen killed off. Since Allison Mack is going to leave in another year, have Chloe and Jimmy leave the series alive. They could do secret super-hero work. Jimmy could give his visiting younger brother his camera.
YOu have to have a season nine. We need to round things off to some extent, have lois and clark toegther more, get rid of lana completely(waste of space she has being for two seasons) bring lex into it a little bit more. Chloe is so awesome but when it comes down to it, they dont REALLY need her…..
i think that in season nine clark should have more contact with his mum. And she should be in it a few times as well. Just a few eps.
there has to be a season nine, because the last one ended on a cliffhanger, lets face it, and my gosh, something has to happen between clark and lois otherwise i may go crazy! pleae may there be a season nine! no spin offs
