Rumor: The Cast of Smallville season 9

The big news of my day is that Smallville returns for another season!
So the next question would be – who of the cast will return?
Tom Welling, definitely.
Entertainment Weekly’s Ausiello spoils us that all principal cast members are coming back for Smallville season 9, except for one. And the person is one of those pictured below…
According to Ausiello’s mole – it’s Sam Witwer, who plays Doomsday.
There is no word yet whether Sam Witwer wasn’t renewed or if he refused to renew… but what do you think of this unconfirmed news?
Do you want to see more of Sam Witwer on Smallville? Should either Davis Bloome or Doomsday stick around for another season?

would it not be crazy if zod was lex luthor remember a fe seasons ago zod took lex over a part of him might have been left behind. the zod at the end of season 9 was bald. that would be sick and crappy at the same time. oh and jimmy dying was a bad idea hes not dead in the comics. thy should have killed off davis. hes bad i dont like him as an actor he is to pradicable. doomsday should have survived and there should be like and episode devoted beating the crap out of eachother instead of 2 minutes or less. i cant wait to see what happened to lois and if anything changes for her in the past.
Dude they did kill off Davis Bloome. And Zod is already bald and if lex came back as Zod the plot line would be ruined. Season 9 should start off with Clark flying and not running anymore. they waited too long to show clark flying and it was way too short. they need to start filling in the holes and start leading clark on his way to becoming known as Superman and not the red and blue blur. In the first episode they should show Lois in the future with the legion and then show what becomes of Zod and how clark has changed since the end of season 8

THEY SHOULD DEFINETELY BRING BACK DAVIS. I fricking loved Sam Witwer and if they don’t bring him back I refuse to watch. Other than him, the whole story line itself is boring. I mean come ON. 9 seasons? BRING HIM BACK.

Jimmy Olsen is not dead. He was the little boy Chloe gave Aaron Ashmore’s Camera too. The Jimmy we knew was Jimmy’s older brother and was going by his middle name ” Jimmy”
to me, obviously, its Aaron ashmore that is not returning. Come onhe died, hedoes not have powers, and they revealed that his name is Henry James Olsen and not James Bartholomew Olsen which is the one that Superman befriends (this should be the boy that Chloe hands over the camera). Hard to make comic references if you don’t know your comics.

We won’t be seeing davis again since he’s dead simple as that, they are going to bring someone else into play doomsaday apparently a wrestler (god help us)
I just wish they would remove cloe from the new season , so clark can finally become superman. I’m thinking she wont be back for season 9 (pray)
Uhh…No. Zod was NOT bald at the end of season 8. I’ve seen it in HD like 5 times.
Chances are, Sam Witwer will return for season 9 as Zod. It was said by Faora, in “Bloodline”, that Davis very much resembled his father.
Zod at the end of season 8 even resembled Sam Witwer; hair and physique.
You know what I have been watching smallville since the very begining I have all the season so far on dvd and they are absolutly amazing. I love smallville. Jimmy Olsen is prolly dead. I don’t know if Davis Bloom is coming back or not but I really hope that lois and clark finally get together. I am ok will lana lang being gone but then I do like lana she kicks ass and so does lois. I do not want chloe to be killed off or oliver queen. They all are amazing actors/actress I would hate them to loose more. I love smallville……
We have to look at season 9 as the transformation from young Clark to the Superman character we have seen. This really should be the last season as they are kind of running out of plots for episodes on the “Smallville” theme. Remember, Clark doesn’t spend much time outside of Metropolis during daily life anymore. Out of any of those characters in the picture, the ones which are most disposable will be eliminated.
Here’s where we are with the characters: Obviously Clark, Lois, Oliver, and Chloe all will remain because of their history in the Superman stories. The others are disposable, but Tess also will be hanging around because of what was hinted at in the season finale, if you remember. So really, Davis and Jimmy are the two likely candidates to be removed from the show. It’s kind of difficult to see how you would keep their characters around anymore as it was, the finale of season 8 kind of did their characters in for the Smallville series.
Smallville is a good show, but the story does seem a little slow. But it will be at least a little differrent from the comics because it is a show, and movies and tv shows are usually a little differrent from the books. The Jimmy situation is confusing,I’m pretty sure that Doomsday will return if not in the begining then later on in the season. Green Arrow can’t be killed off, because he is in the Justice League along with Superman,the Flash,Black Canary, and Aquaman, also he is an important character on the show as well as the comics.
Zod should not be bald. When Clark removed Zod from Lex’s body the Phantom Zod had hair. As jiggy stated Faora noted the resemblance between Zod and Davis in bloodline. Zod can’t be BALD.
If Chloe moves forward into her role as Watchtower, she won’t have time for Clark anymore.
Sam Witwer should do a series of his own, perhaps with some of his costars from Battlestar Galactica. I’d love to see him as Mr.Miracle, and Katie Sackhoff as Big Barda…
I hope Chloe will play I bigger role in the justice league this way she can stay on the show without people saying she interferes with Clark destiny. And I the guy who is cast to play Zod in season 9 has been announced, it isn’t Sam Witwer.Clark and Lois should come together soon. Also I want Chloe and Oliver to have more scenes they have great chemistry.

smallville is my fave series, but without lex luthor i’ts not the same, he’s supermans greatest foe”.if this is going to be smallvlles final season, have lex come back during the last few episodes, kidnap and attempt to kill clarks [mom] martha kent, whose a senator in new york, and have him become superman at the series end, fall for lois lane, kill chloe at the hands of either doomsday or tess mercer, whom kills chloe for exposing her evil deeds,and show a teen jimmy oleson getting ready for his first day at the daily planet”.or at east have him envision it, since he’s still too young at the moment.bring in villians not used before such as silver banshee,and hae brainiac return,as well as a threat from a well known baddie named darkseid”.add in an all out battle royal between the justice leauge and the newly formed legion of doom, and that’d be the perfect way to wrap up smallville.even another guest appearance from pete ross, who gets massacred by lex or doomsday for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. smallville rules………..

The only reason Zod was bald in the Smallville seasons is because Zods ghost took over Lexs body but now that Lex is Presumed DEAD Zod won’t be bald it will be the real Zod without Terrance Stamp doing it because he is way too old for the role to do it , it would have been cool to do the voice over for whom ever takes the place of Zod like the Star Wars movies character who played Darth Vader. Players for the Season 9 would have to be Clark of course and Lois, Cloe, Doomsday, and possibility of maybe Batman appearance.
I need to know if Lana will come back for 9th season. Shes awesome, and she could become part of the Legion in the future.
that plot line that ended with clark and Lana needs to be finalized, she can’t just disappear in the world, there needs to be some climax other than Clark can come with a few feet from her.
It’s probably Henry “Jimmy,” Olsen. Which made sense anyway, since Jimmy was always supposed to be more like a little brother to Clark, so having the real Jimmy be someone the same age as Clark… just plain weird. I enjoyed the Jimmy character, and they worked him well, but in the end, the real Jimmy is still alive and fits the Superman canon more properly.
Hi. Listen. Some of you are quite smart with the characters but some things are left out. First off. At the end of season 8 Clark BURIED doomsday in the ground. In the comics when clark is superman, DOOMSDAY comes OUT of the ground remember? This could be a setup for either a finale or a movie involving the death of superman.
Also chloe and oliver cannot get together. In the comics Oliver marries the black canary.
Lois is in the future. The ring was set to send doomsday there. Not sure where that will lead but oh well.
And as for him flying? I envision it this way. In the movies clark couldnt fly until he went to the fortress and truly embraced his destiny coming out 12 years later. So here is what I think would be a great way to end it.
Tess is obviously delusional or brainwashed by the Zod orb which is why she released him and I have a feeling tess will die a sad death realizing how wrong she was, the opposite of lex’s “death”
What I hope they do for Clark flying is to wait. Imagine a scene where Zod is on the brink of victory, the Justice League vs parts of the legion of doom. Clark cannot defeat zod and so goes to his fortress for guidance. All is lost , the Justice league despairing when all of a sudden, up in the sky…you see him. He either makes a dramatic entrance to save someone or smash Zod. For a moment everyone looks at him, oliver finally having total respect, almost a teary eyed moment as EVERYONE realizes clark has accepted his destiny. I think this happening about 15 minutes before the end of the series finalle would be awesome. It would give time for a cool battle as well as being able to close loose ends. ( i would like to see flash in a costume though and call him flash ).
As for clark in season 8 ending. I think he has decided that sometimes he MUST kill and doesnt like it BUT season 9 will teach him that while he might not have to kill every enemy, he still must sometimes put his feelings behind him and do whats right. His feelings make him a hero. But they make him make mistakes.
Also something has to be done about all the kryptonite. There is way too much of it. In most comics there was SOME but not alot of it. Not enough to weaponize it except in one branch of the comics and that was trashed quickly.
Anyhow… JHust my two cents!!!
remember before in the episode where lex and oliver had a school reunion and lex’s ex-best friend was in a coma and was killing the people who killed him?
Well, after the first person died, one of them was talking to oliver and said “I’m going back to gotham,” which means a batman appearance is definitely possible.

i really hope they have some more of ollie in this one. his character is great and i really wanna see some more of his char in action. i would love to see, Lana and the justic league characters back. cant wait to see how they do things
I want Lana come back at season 9. Although clark finally with lois. lana is great character. I want Davis t0o. He make me forget and lost clark for lois.

I work in a video store in Puerto Rico, and the most rented series is Smallville. There was this dude renting it, and I asked him if it was good, (weird, Im a Superman fan, and never saw it ’til that point). The guy said, that he hated Superman until he began watching Smallville. That was enough for me to start watching and bought every seson. Now I’ll let u guys with a question…..Pete Ross said the last time in Smallville, I have to figure out another way of becoming a hero, (or something close to that), wouldn’t be great if Pete becomes STEEL????? SEASON 9 WILL ROCK, SEPT. 25th

It seems that the orb is Smallville’s version of the bottled city of Kandor, which is a pretty cool interpretation actually.
Given all that has happened, it totally makes sense that the sidekick “Jimmy Olsen” from the comics is actually the younger brother of the Jimmy Olsen we know from the series.
It seems most likely that two characters, Jimmy and Davis, will not be returning to the series rather than only one. Though it is plausible that Sam Whitwer could return as Zod.
I am curious to see how the writers bring back Lex, which I KNOW is going to happen at some point. Come on…
i just want clark and lois to hurry up and get together. so much sexual tention.

not sure if anyone remmembers chloe has the power to heal so since jimmy is dead, my guess is that she will eventually heal him she has the power to bring back same with lois when she died chloe’s tears dropped into loi’s cheek then the light shined, they have been switched, i’m thinking maybe she will do the same to Jimmy Olsen. Remmember, people with special abilities always evolved and gets stronger and stronger, i think Lex has a brain power cuz he lost his hair in season 1, so this got me thinking what if Zod came back turned around and Tess saw Lex being possessed by Zod, i thought maybe the bomb didn’t kill him maybe there was a portal and took him away and then came back thru the purple device i’m waiting to see what happened next i wont watch smallville on tv yet until its on DVD then i will… any opinion? or would like to spill your ideas let me know clarkkent89@gmail.com
