Milo Ventimiglia talks "Heroes", comics

August 20, 2008 by Grace

milo-ventimiglia-comic-con Heroes actor and comic-book producer Milo Ventimiglia talked exclusively to Comic Book Resources on the set of Heroes.

The interview began with the awkward question about season 2 and the “needless” characters. CBR wanted to know if we’re to expect the same this year when “Volume 3: Villains” comes to the tube on September 22. Milo graciously answered that all the new characters introduced this year “have a huge presence in this chapter”, particularly that of Daphne “Speedster” Millbrook and Knox.

Arthur Petrelli’s name and character also came up. Arthur is dad to Nathan and Peter but he had been faceless, until now when Oscar nominee Robert Forester joins the cast this season. What I really want to know is what kind of power, physically and psychologically (i.e., control), has the elder Petrelli over his boys and woman, and the greater Company.

Next, Milo talked about his foray into the world of comic book publishing. The GN “Rest“, under DiVide Pictures, was such an entrance for Milo that his company now has another one in production, “Berserker” out for release next year. Milo has been a comic book fan since he was young, and he has a high respect for the genre, that in his own words, “I would hold that world very sacred.”

Part 3 of the interview might be publishing tomorrow, so watch out for it at CBR. I wonder if Jami Philbrick got some good spoilers from being on the Heroes set.
