Milo Ventimiglia talks “Heroes” at the New York Comic Con

Milo Ventimiglia candidly talked about the new volume of “Heroes”, and he had plenty to say, including reviews of the first episode, about casts leaving and characters dying and how the powers-that-be changed Peter’s role.
Milo Ventimiglia was at the New York Comic Con on February 7 to promote his comic book “Berserker” and Access Hollywood asked him about the new volume of “Heroes”.
Heroes is now filming the last episodes of the volume and Milo remarked how great and exciting that’s going to be. “The stories are beefing up, they’re really good. The connectivity of the characters and excitement of the first season are coming back. We’re coming to the end of the season, and it’s all very exciting.”
But we’ll all have to wait for that for a few more months at least, so Milo went back to talking about the premiere episode. He’s pumped up about the good reviews of “Clear and Present Danger”. And speaking like a true Star Wars fans Milo thought it was funny how the characters compared to Star Wars when they were herded into the plane.
“We’re like the squadron red X-wing fighters in Star Wars in those orange jumpsuits (in the plane)… I get to be red five –that’s Luke Skywalker!”
Milo Ventimiglia also talked about the changes in Peter’s character. The powers that be wanted Peter Petrelli to become someone more aggressive of his destiny.
“Peter started out as a dreamer and didn’t have any direction for himself. But… with a little insistence of some people on the show, he becomes a guy who does take charge.”
Milo adds that Peter still has a golden heart but now he can’t just wait around and have life pass him by. He’s now adapting to the things he’s been through, like being knocked down over and over by his own brother, but still fighting him with everything he’s got.
Without being asked, Milo made comments about how people in the outside world conjure up ideas about who’s leaving and who’s staying, who’s bad and who’s good. Milo calls a lot of it “just fairy tales”. But one thing that upsets them is when a character is written off as dying.
“It’s tough when you get close to people and working with them so long and you find out they’re dying.”
So will a character die? We know from last night’s episode that Daphne was shot several times and for all reasons might have died. Did she? Is that Milo hinting clues or just speaking generalities?
