Hiro’s blog is a major puzzle

There’s a puzzle for us to solve over at Hiro’s blog.
And as I’m slow at this, the binary puzzle is ‘whoosh’ way over my head. Reading the million comments I assume some great geniuses are working this out. So if you know the answer… Please have mercy and let us in on it.
