Heroes volume 2 – spoilers about Matt Parkman

September 19, 2007 by Grace

normal Greg GrunbergGreg Grunberg plays Matt Parkman, the struggling policeman thrust into the thick of Heroes season 1 with his ability to hear people’s thoughts. He sustained bullet wounds at the end of season 1, and there was rumor that he died and but later this summer we found out he survived and is back for this season.

Parkman’s wife Janice is pregnant and we know it’s going to be a boy, thought to maybe also inherit some form of power from his dad. But Matt Parkman thought that his abilities were caused by the Company when they abducted him.

In volume 2 “Generations”, we find more about him, his past and his family’s involvement.

09/19 – “Parkman’s family plays a huge role in the story behind the heroes,” [Greg Grunberg] revealed. “My character for once plays an integral part in what’s happening.” Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

As with the other people with abilities, it looks like Parkman’s is genetic too, very much in line with the elder Chandra Suresh’s theories in his book “Activating Evolution“.
