“Heroes” - More about Adam Monroe
Adam Monroe is no other than Takezo Kensei, thousands of years later!
Heroes episode 2.07 “Out of Time” revealed his identity and face.
As Bob said, Adam was their recruiter, the person who brought his group together and convinced them they “can change history”. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? That’s the same thing he said to Hiro in ancient Japan, and to Peter in that note and when they saw each other.
What more do we know about ADAM MONROE?
Is he immortal or did he just evade death so many times because he can regenerate? He obviously didn’t die when Hiro had the munitions camp explode. More likely, his body healed quickly, like Claire did when her house exploded with Ted the nuclear man. If this was the case, it’s no surprise that he can survive all these years.
It seems so pathetic that Adam would bear a grudge against Hiro all these years. But then again, the man was never honorable to begin with, and only became slightly better because Hiro had him believing that he can become something more special, and he can get his princess. Love scorned could also have changed him for the worst.
He swore to Hiro that everything Hiro loves he will lay to waste. If he is seriously screwed then, and only becoming more evil as years went by, it would no surprise for him to gather the Company together, including Kaito and take his revenge on Hiro.
Poor Hiro. He had to idea how he has changed history for everyone!
If Linderman was his disciple, then the way Adam works would be to allow catastrophes to happen to bring about change. For whose good? Probably for his own.
Bob made a mysterious comment to Nathan about Adam about “snow in Miami”. Does Adam have more powers than simple regeneration? Or does he have more disciples who will follow his bidding?
He has gotten Peter interested, for sure. Although Peter is inherently good, I just don’t know how wise Peter is and if he see through Adam’s schemes.
One other angle to this is Bob’s Company. How much truth is he really telling us? Is this another of his half truth? Was the company really going to isolate Adam or are they working together?
Heroes is definitely getting more climactic with the past episode! Next one up is episode 8 “Four Months Ago“. Maybe that will answer more questions for us.
