Heroes graphic novels: #81 to #85
I haven’t been catching up with Heroes lately, and when Masi Oka mentioned his new arch nemesis, I knew I missed something!
So to get us up to speed, I read the package of graphic novels from chapters 81 to the latest. The stories and characters in these online comics are part and parcel to the saga of Heroes, and especially for season 3 - Villains - as many of the story arc in the comics are about potential villains.
Here are the teaser descriptions of the Heroes graphic novels from chapters 81- 86.
#81: Donna’s Big Date part 1 Donna Dunlap has powers, and because of that the Company is watching her. What the Company didn’t anticipate is that she can watch them too. Someone named Evs Dropper had warned her. With her Enhanced Vision - telescopic and night vision - Donna made out the identity of (one of) her stalker - Thompson Jr. (aka Blake) and she thought she killed him. Donna would have escaped, except that Thomson’s partner, the psychopath Elle Bishop was waiting for her.
#82: Donna’s Big Date part 2 Donna Dunlap wakes up in a hospital bed, next to Noah Bennet, the day after his eyes got shot out. He warned her not to accept whatever the Company was offering. Next Donna got to meet Bob Bishop, who was maybe about to recruit her until he learned who she talked to. So Bishop had her memory erased. But Donna still got to see what they did to her, only she’s seeing all these through a video surveillance tape courtesy of Evs Dropper, who now recruited her to take down the company.
#83 Career Choices Donna Dunlap has become a double agent in four short days. She’s working with the Company and preparing for her first mission. She’s also working for Evs Dropper. Suddenly a Gael Cruz (”one of the higher up guys”) took her out of all her assignments. Feeling burned, Donna secretly looks up her file and sees an Isaac Mendez painting of her own death.
#84 Trust Issues part 1 The Company is built on partnership between a human with powers - Specials - and one without. But suddenly, four non-special agents were killed in recent weeks. It seems that a renegade Special agent was responsible for these. And Thompson Jr., being one of the non-specials, was about to find out who is responsible for this. One name is dropped - Evs Dropper.
#85 Trust Issues part 2 Thompson Jr. just killed a Special, who he thought was trying to kill non-powered agents in the Company. From the dying man’s lips came the name “Evs Dropper”, and Thompson assumed he is the man behind the killings. When Donna learned of what Thompson did, he admitted everything, including what he knew of Evs Dropper. So now Donna finds herself trapped. Who will she believe?
