Hayden Panettiere honored with the Wyler Award for saving whales

Her hard work is finally paying off, and getting attention.

Hayden Panettiere, the hero that she is, will be honored with The Humane Society’s Wyler Award for drawing attention to the cruelty of Japan’s whale and dolphin slaughter. The award is given to celebrity to makes news in behalf of animals. It is named after Genesis founder and animal activist Gretchen Wyler.

You go, girl!

So save the date! The Genesis Awards will be held on Saturday evening, March 29, 2008 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
