Erica Durance, aka Lois Lane, will be leaving Smallville… temporarily at least, says Ausiello-

Ausiello: Say goodbye to Lois — temporarily, that is. Erica Durance is taking a few weeks off to do Ecstasy, a feature based on the novel by Irvine Welsh (Trainspotting). I think she’ll miss a total of three episodes
Smallville will be quieter with Lois gone… hmm, maybe this is Clark’s chance to “miss” her.

I like Erica as an actress and a person, don’t get me wrong, but I never miss her when she’s not in any of the episodes. Besides she won’t be gone that long. Kristin I will miss, but guess I’ll have to live without the beautiful Ms. Kreuk in the final Season 8 of “Smallville”. Very sad, she was the perfect love interest for this Clark Kent. Kristin and Tom are what made me look forward to each and every episode. I did, however, enjoy Lois and Oliver together. Sorry the writers chose to split them up. This show always seems to split up couples that are great together.

oooh…smallville used to gained such a big rating before this amazon chick came to ruin the series.There are thousand of highest rated episodes that doesnt need her.Check the rating!

How can Clark even miss Lois - is Ausiello telling us that Clark is suddenly into Lois? Give me a break. He went from not being able to stand her to suddenly attracted to her??? How did that happen - Lana hasn’t been gone that long. He just can’t turn off his feelings for Lana and for Lois? C’mon - how stupid can the writers be??

Which episodes were she gone in? Sorry, but I agree with everyone here - Lois shouldn’t even be in Smallville. Lois and Clark, the series was not exactly a smash success. Why try to repeat it? Season 8 seems lost, and definitely on its last leg. Welling looks like he’s wondering where Smallville is going. Lois and Clark just bicker and act too much like brother and sister. If they get together, it is like incest - gross. Kristin Kreuk, who seems very lovely in person and not superficial at all, like Erica Durance, had and has the best chemistry with Welling on the show. Lex is much better than Tess. Clark really seems to flounder around the show now without a focus.
