I just  posted a review of the “X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE” so I’m just telling you now that this is NOT a duplicate post.  Rather, this is my second X-MEN series to enjoy watching and reviewing.
I have the Marvel DVD Comic Book Collection for X-MEN Volumes 3 and 4 … and boy did I have a marathon watching 28 episodes!

I love watching action-adventure films on the big screen. There’s nothing like seeing the effects, whether live action stunts or CG, being blown up and maxed out. So I was very disappointed when “X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE” came out in theaters May 1 and I couldn’t make time out of my overcrowded schedule. And I was more surprised when early reviews rated the Hugh Jackman starrer as “disappointing”. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a measly 33%! Was it really that bad?

It’s a little hush-hush in the “X-men Origins: Wolverine” camp. Since last year, very few promotional teasers and pictures had come out. I can’t even find an official website (maybe it’s out there and I’m just not looking). But then lo and behold — the set was filming at a WWII scene in the Omaha beach and an extra on the set reported what he’s seen and done for two days in June.
Links to a set of pictures from the same beach were also taken by Lake Macquarie News. The movie airs in 2009.

Way before filming for his starring role in the upcoming “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”, Hugh Jackman already grew the distinctive beard. And he has to keep it for as long as the movie is filming. Jackman also has to keep himself buffed for the Wolverine role.

How does he keep fit? Aussie’s Courier Mail caught the actor at Sydney’s famed Bondi Beach where Hugh Jackman swims regularly, and does it just before dawn. In nine degree waters! Either he really likes Australian winter or he doesn’t want anyone seeing him flex his pecs.

USA Today published the first photo of Hugh Jackman who takes the title role in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie.

We won’t be seeing this movie a year from now, but X-Men and Wolverine fans are hanging on to every news about this upcoming Hugh Jackman starrer.
