There is something very odd about these photos. I thought that H.R.G. will host a thanksgiving dinner to get his family back. Boy, was I so wrong.

Mom Sandra (Ashley Crow) brought her boyfriend, Doug Douglas (“what kind of name is that?! – H.R.G.) (guest star Hank Stratton). And Noah (Jack Coleman) also brought an old friend/partner – Lauren (guest star Elizabeth Rohm) – from the Company days, who had a serious crush on him three years ago. So now Lauren is back and I’m not sure what Bennet is trying to pull here, but this ought to be awkward. Lyle is missing but at least Claire (Hayden Panettiere) showed up.

In my mind, the Thanksgiving Holiday is a day to make amends as you thank the people you love and loved you. And this HEROES episode looks no different than what might be happening in real life. Like the Bennet family for instance. H.R.G. will host a thanksgiving dinner for his family! And that means Lyle, mom Sandra and Claire will all be at the same table so this is a chance for H.R.G to redeem his life back.

And it looks like the Petrelli family is about to have their own celebration as well. Nathan has showed up again and Angela’s world is now complete. Poor woman. Her world has continued to revolve around this one son to the complete ignorance of another.

Although now that Sylar knows who was responsible for his split “personalities”, he might be hunting down Nathan Petrelli and try to get his body back, and he’s going to end with destroying the Petrellis.

THANKSGIVING UNITES FAMILIES TOGETHER AND BRINGS NEW REVELATIONS — H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) hosts an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner. Elsewhere, the Petrelli family gets a surprise guest at their table. Meanwhile, Samuel (Robert Knepper) continues to hold Hiro (Masi Oka) hostage, as Lydia (guest star Dawn Olivieri) goes in search for the truth. Greg Grunberg, Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Cristine Rose and Milo Ventimiglia also star. Ashley Crow, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Madeline Zima, Ray Park, Harry Perry, Elisabeth Rohm, Andrew Connolly also guest star.

I won’t be surprised if Sylar turns up at the Petrelli place. Unfortunately, he might come as Matt Parkman and that can throw off Angela completely. Where’s the Haitian when you need him?

As for the Carnival… Samuel is getting dangerously close to snapping. That’s just my opinion and nothing anywhere in the show indicates this. But the man has become reckless and desperate and I still can’t get why. I thought he was grieving his brother’s death. And then it was about bringing everyone in to the fold, which also didn’t make sense why he wanted to do that. So now is it about murdering Mohinder (which could make someone act like he did), and perhaps asking Hiro to cover it up or go back in time to change it.

One of these days, Samuel will make a really big mistake and bring his own demise.

These images are all a sneak peek from one scene, but there’s a potential death written all over it that you really have to check them out. Even if the photos are SPOILERS.

The scene is between Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) and Sylar (Zachary Quinto) and having two clashing powers in one body will likely result in fatal injuries. It’s been riveting to watch Matt and Sylar battle it for control. Greg and Zach are such great actors you can feel the anger brew between their characters. We know Sylar overpowered Matt’s control over his own body (he learned quick how to use Matt’s powers against him!) but who’s to say Sylar is invulnerable?

Uh-oh. This is really bad. Let’s hope Sylar knows what he is doing. He can’t put Matt’s life in danger, right? If Matt dies, so does he.

No way!

OK, let’s hope that Sylar can use his regenerative abilities and heal all of Matt’s injuries. I mean, if Matt dies…

The four videos below might clue us in on the link between Suresh and Samuel. These are old footages from the Coyote Sands Relocation Center (“1961”) where Chandra Suresh (Ravi Kapoor), Mohinder’s father, used to work at back in 1961, and it looks like the Company were privy to an earthshaking phenomenon back then.

On March 5th 1961, Chandra discovers a “force” that emanates from people with powers. It’s dangerous enough to house so many people with special abilities but to discover that these individuals“attract” each other is even more alarming.

And there’s more.

On Suresh’s next entry (entry #5), he was about to explain more about the “force” when an earthquake interrupts him. Watch the video clips after the cut.

Later entries (video below) record Chandra Suresh talking about an abnormal spike in seismic activity that might be one of the effects of the force on a pregnant woman.

On Entry #21, Dr. Chandra Suresh experiences the full effect of the cataclysmic event while studying his pregnant subject.

And for math genius among us, here is Dr. Chandra Suresh’s calculations, on footage. I can’t decipher the calculations but the drawing at the end seems to relate to that force he was talking about.

So, my guess is Mohinder discovered these videos and somehow put him on a direct path with Samuel. I won’t be surprised if he is the baby that was born during that period in 1961, and is he caused the earthquake during his birth.

But why Samuel killed him is still a mystery.

Ravi Kapoor is listed as a guest star on episode 4.10 “Brother’s Keeper” so these videos might appear in that episode, when Sendhil Ramamurthy (as Mohinder Suresh) also returns to the scenes. Ravi Kapoor is best known for his role in “Crossing Jordan”, which Tim Kring had directed.

If you saw the trailer for next Monday’s episode “Shadowboxing” you might be wondering, as I am, how Mohinder fell into Samuel’s trap, and worse, what exactly can Samuel do? It’s just so unfortunate that Sylar (or really, Nathan Petrelli inside Sylar) is still separated from his body, otherwise Samuel would be no match for him and won’t take advantage of him too. My guess is that split keeps him from fully reaching his villain potential, and being scary enough to pit against Samuel. And it looks like Sylar still won’t get his full faculties in this episode.

This is a mindfield! As Samuel has said, this place in Texas is a mindfield and he’s making a tremendous sacrifice to make sure Hiro succeeds. Sylar is there, and so is Charlie. Noah and a beautiful woman are there too (in a motel room!).

So below are six webclips for HEROES episode “Once Upon a Time in Texas” and they are full of spoilers!

The first video sneak peek is at the Carnival. The resident Carnie time traveler Arnold is dying and Samuel (Robert Knepper) is desperate to get a replacement for him – Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) maybe? I’m not sure why Samuel needs Hiro now but he’s needed to “fix the past”. I wonder what Samuel is talking about.

The second sneak peek is at the Burnt Toast Diner. Hiro is surprised to find Samuel there. (He must have traveled back – and used Arnold to get there… for the last time, I bet.) Samuel challenges Hiro to consider not saving Charlie (Jayma Mays) because he was supposedly on a specific path and “the magnitude of [Hiro’s] endeavor” could change history.

The third sneak peek is a familiar scene from season one, when Charlie was opening a can of fruit cocktail and Sylar (Zachary Quinto) has his fingers poised to slice her head open. It still scares me!

The fourth scene has Charlie and Hiro meeting (again). Hiro must have interrupted Sylar’s plans! So Hiro invites Charlie on a trip around the world. Hiro says the most romantic thing – “I don’t want to spend one more minute apart from you.” But Charlie’s aneurism kicks in!

The fifth scene is rather different – that of Noah/H.R.G and a partner Lauren (Elizabeth Rohm). It does look like there’s something going on between them. Oh, for sure she has a crush on him. But I wonder if Noah stayed true to his wife. Lauren even made the move of booking a motel room but something interrupts her plans.

The sixth scene is again with Noah and Lauren, and they are in a motel room. I’m not saying anymore… Watch the webclips.

But now, Hiro gets another chance to save Charlie! What’s even better, Hiro gets to kiss the girl! In the episode “Once Upon A Time In Texas” (episode 4.08; November 2), Jayma Mays reprises her role as Charlie as Hiro goes back in time to make sure Sylar doesn’t get to Charlie and kill her.

Masi Oka sends a special quote of that episode –

"This was one of my favorite episodes of the series. I had the opportunity to explore the many layers of Hiro. It was truly wonderful working with Jayma again and I even got to play against a younger me. Ah, how naive we were. It’s an episode full of joy and tears. It’s Hiro’s Company Man and our homage to episode 8 in season 1. This scene is where Hiro finally gets his long awaited kiss. His dream upon the thousand cranes, the origami in his left hand, came true. But is there a happy ending? It’s Heroes after all. I hope you enjoy watching the episode as much as I had making it. Thank you!"

Here you go! If you saw tonight’s episode on HEROES you would not want to miss anymore of this show! The stories are riveting, and it’s keeping us on the edge! What will happen to Claire now that her powers are exposed? How will Matt Parkman regain his body back from Sylar? The sneaky psychopath tricked him! And if you recall from two episodes down, Peter acquired Jeremy’s powers of death-and-life. Can Peter handle that kind of power to give life or take it?

Let’s speculate! Peter’s first patient will be Emma and of course he restores her hearing! But would that remove her powers? Emma isn’t someone who is very open to change, so I wonder how she will take this, or if Peter will get to use his new powers on her.

I wonder what the writers mean that HRG is the cause of Claire’s trouble? Samuel had mentioned Jack previously as someone who had been on their tail. Is Samuel’s intentions for Claire because of her dad?

And of course, there’s Matt versus Sylar. This is just scary to think what Sylar can do to Matt’s body now that he owns it! I don’t like the sound of “potentially dangerous implications at stake”. When it comes to Sylar, you just know it’s catastrophic.

Did you get what Samuel (Robert Knepper) said? “This place was a mindfield!” One mistake and everything changes for history. What could he mean by that? And did you see what Hiro does at the end – he holds Charlie’s head steady while Sylar (Zachary Quinto) hovers around! Hiro, what have you done?!

The tension on this episode is increasing in notch! HEROES has worked very hard to restore it’s season 1 feel and it is absolutely working for me! The storylines keeps unfolding to keep us watching and and each episode is tight and moving fast.

 So, here’s a highlight of tonight’s episode, titled “Strange Attractors” –

• Claire is busted! Fellow pledge of her sorority now know of her powers, after an encounter with lead girl Becky (Tessa Thompson) , who attempted to kill Gretchen (Madeline Zima) while remaining invisible. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) fought back and Becky rammed her to a post with a huge nail. Unfortunately, two other girls saw Claire hanging by a nail (literally) when Gretchen pulled her down.
• Sylar traps Matt inside his own body! Desperate to get rid of Sylar (Zachary Quinto) after Sylar used Matt’s (Greg Grunberg) body to have sex with Janice (Lisa Lackey), Matt tried to intoxicate Sylar by downing alcohol till he got drunk and they both passed out. Unknown to Matt, Sylar slipped into Matt’s mind while Matt was unconscious and “took over the driver’s seat”. So now, they’ve exchanged places – Sylar has control of Matt’s body, and Matt is the schizophrenic half.
•  Noah Bennet fails and a healer dies. Thinking he can handle Jeremy’s (Mark L. Young) case and make the kid disappear from radar, Noah (Jack Coleman) asked Tracy (Ali Larter) for help in relocating the boy. Unfortunately, Samuel (Robert Knepper) got to Tracy first and casted doubts about those with abilities remaining invisible to society. When Noah and Tracy tried to get Jeremy to safety, the townsfolk tried to stop them and Jeremy used his “death-power” to kill someone on the spot. This angered some cops so much that later, secretly, he had Jeremy killed. Tracy was so heartbroken about failing to save Jeremy that she now thought of joining Samuel’s Carnival and live in the open.
• Samuel raises hell. Angered by failing to get Jeremy alive, Samuel moves the earth around the Sheriff’s office and the entire building crumbles. I doubt anyone would have survived that!

So, how did you like tonight’s episode? Let’s talk about it! I have questions to get some discussion going –

1. What should Claire do now that her secret has been exposed?
2. Matt is really in big trouble now, and I think this is more than he can handle. What should he do now?
3. I think Sylar’s powers are still limited (although it’s already so scary what he did to Matt), so he still needs to find his body. But I wonder why he just doesn’t rummage through Matt’s memory/mind for it?
4. Should Tracy take up Samuel’s offer and live in the Carnival?
