I didn’t like John Corben (Brian Austin Green) the first time I saw him at the season premiere of SMALLVILLE last week. Maybe it was the way he despised the Red-Blue Blur.    Last week, I posted the first part of my interview with Ray Park, who is a recurring guest star on HEROES. Recurring, because his character Edgar hasn’t been killed yet. Ray jokes that all his characters are doomed to death, but it wasn’t going to happen just yet. But Ray doesn’t know how long he has left on HEROES.

When I caught up with HEROES’ actor James Kyson Lee on the phone, he was driving along a canyon road in Los Angeles that was notorious for losing cell signals. So James graciously told me to call him back in case our call gets dropped. Sure enough it did, but he called back. I thought that was such a nice gesture.

It’s a bit of an old casting news but it’s so charming that late as I may be I can’t resist but get into it.
Remember Charlie? I mean who can really forget Hiro’s first love? Long after Charlie died and through most of season 1, fans still hoped that Hiro (Masi Oka) would find a way to get back to Charlie, or at least prevent Sylar from killing her. I was too young to remember much about the original GREEN HORNET (1974) but I do recall Bruce Lee played the Asian side-kick to a masked hero. There was a lot of kicking and “ka-blam" “pow” and all that old-TV stuff but its hero-appeal was overshadowed by more serious shows like Batman and Robin. I mean, who takes a hero named Green Hornet seriously?

After a long stint as “SMALLVILLE”’s Lana Lang, Kristin Kreuk returns to television this fall as the romantic interest of yet another reluctant hero – Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi).
EW.com reports that Kreuk will join “CHUCK” for multiple episodes as Hannah, who got laid off from a glamorous publishing job and ends up working at the Buy More. Chuck first meets Hannah on a flight from Paris so the script could go that he offers a job opening to her. Guess who’s putting some law and order into the “HEROES” game? It’s Elizabeth Rohm, one time prosecutor in the television drama Law & Order”.
According to Zap2It, Rohm will be playing a character named Lauren Gilmore but that’s about all the information there is right now. She’s appearing in the eight episode so that won’t be until sometime in November. Hopefully by then we’ll get more leads into her character.

Superman’s Brandon Routh is the newest master spy on “CHUCK” and he’ll teach Bartowski a thing or two about spying.. and keeping his heart close to his chest.

 
According to an exclusive from EW’s Ausiello, Brandon Routh will be joining the NBC spy comedy in a multi-arc episode this season. Routh’s character will be the mysterious new leader of Operation Bartowski, and becomes Chuck’s new mentor, and both will be going after Sarah’s affection.
Now of course I report this because of Brandon’s ties to Superman, and he’ll be playing someone entirely different than his superhero character. It …read more

Can you just imagine SMALLVILLE with Lex Luthor back? Rockin’ awesome! Luthor would have inside knowledge on Kent’s identity and man, would that wreak havoc for Krypton’s son…
When season eight began last year without Michael Rosenbaum, I had doubts that Smallville would survive. It just felt so weird not to have Luthor in Clark Kent’s life. But Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman) lived up to her role as the female Luthor and so many other things happened in Kent’s life that by mid-season 2008 we didn’t miss Luthor so much.
BUT… Michael Rosenbaum is still the best villain on television (IMHO) …read more
