Actor Morgan Freeman in serious car crash

“Dark Knight” actor Morgan Freeman needed to have surgery as a result of a horrific car crash Sunday night in Mississippi.

If this was in the movies, this would have been an awesome stunt. But in real life, it’s called a serious accident. Around 11:30 p.m. August 4th, Freeman was driving a Nissan Maxima when it veered off the highway and flipped several times before ending in a ditch near his home. Emergency crews had to use the ‘jaws of death’ to free the actor and a female passenger. Earlier reports said the actor was in serious condition, but Freeman’s spokesperson said he needed surgery for broken arm and elbow but in in good spirits.
